WCSIT
The Workers'
Compensation Self-Insurance Trust was established February 1, 1982. WCSIT operates under the Ilinois Intergovernmental
Cooperation Act. In 1985, Hinz Professional
Insurance Program Managers (HPIPM) became the plan administrator for
WCSIT. Under HPIPM's direction, WCSIT has evolved into the largest and most successful self-insurance pool
for Illinois school districts' workers' compensation coverage. WCSIT is sponsored by
the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB).
