Education Foundations

My district has an affiliated Education Foundation. Are the activities of the Foundation covered by our School Board Legal Liability Program?

No. Since the Education Foundation is a separate, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) entity, (it is not a public entity), the Foundation must purchase its own coverage to protect the Foundation and its board members from claims of liability.
