Boiler Inspection

1. My district needs to schedule appointments to have some of our boilers inspected. How do we schedule these?

You can schedule a boiler inspection by calling Hartford Steam Boiler at 1-800-333-INSP (4677) from 8:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. EST Monday - Friday.  You will be asked to provide a few pieces of information including:

Illinois School District Agency Program Id No. 1000540

Name of Insured and Mailing Address 

Location Name and Address

Contact Name and Phone Number needed to gain entry to the building

2. The inspection certificates on some of our districts boilers are about to expire. How can I get these certificates renewed?

Boiler certificates are not renewable; you'll need to have the boilers inspected again. Once the boilers have passed inspection, you'll be issued new certificates. Expired boiler certificates can result in a fine from the State of Illinois. To make certain your district is in compliance with state law, you should schedule an inspection for at least thirty days before your certificate(s) expire.
